A (wo)man
Object lesson
Let's stop some battalions of men to better observe them.
They exhibit a remarkable aptitude for conquest.
Indeed a deep commitment can be read on their face.
They wear the mask of "the peace of mind of the monolith",
that is to say, this belief that their person is united
to their consciousness in a unique and coherent whole.
With this insanity, when they look around,
they only envision a cold and deterministic nature
and we feel them determined to show it - as well as whoever -
that they're themselves more alive and enlightened
that all that shelters this world.
This is how stupid people feel inclined to appropriate the world.
We are all from the same mold.
We all share the same identity, an't please to our physical outfit.
In each of us takes shape the same and unique stake.
If we detach our lives from this collective responsibility,
our existence is just an anecdote of the moment.
Okay, you are the most beautiful, the biggest, the strongest
especially as this seems so much to please you !
But now you're cheered up,
tell us please, oh highest eminence,
which part of the man do you carry ?
Have you already committed your unfathomable talents to other causes
that the insignificant glory of your ridiculous person ?
If you do not care to act by wearing a little of the heart of the man,
you're just playing in your corner of the sandbox.
In a word, you who sometimes think of yourself as Superman,
you simply renounce to embody the man.
Under the magnifying glass
Once released, how do our humans behave ?
How to consider the fellows who dream only of empires ?
What credit to accord to those who build theories with their eyes glued on their navel ?
Is it serious to consider one's life independently of those of others ?
Is dominion a mark of superiority, a sign of intelligence ?
Are our days condemned to be endured ?
No common challenge rises from this scenography.
Every individual composes his actions with indifference.
The performance offered by men is at most a juxtaposition of casual trajectories.
Yet men are just one, they only make sense together.
Even worse, clumsy with themselves and short of self-assurance,
they take refuge into classes, codes and categories
that they strive to reproduce and promulgate.
Our human shape have a tough skin and directs all our perception.
It hides that we are indistinctly bound by the substance.
Our differences are just smoke and mirrors.
If you stop there, it is not only that man doesn't interest you,
but also that you renounce to know deeper your own person.
Once again, stupid guys of all kinds, stop wasting the time of the human.
Do not get lost in the inventory of criteria
supposed to characterize human diversity.
The man's suit gives everyone the same right on this Earth,
the same legitimacy to find us a meaning.
Instead, go beyond your human crust.
Try to be its clever user and not its slave.
The human purpose can not consist in a competition of navels.
We have to provide man a more exhilarating "live together"
but this requires from each one the commitment of all his person.
